The Konnect eMail Central New add-in integrates Outlook with SharePoint, allowing you to save, classify, and manage emails directly from your inbox. Follow the steps below to install or remove the add-in.

Install the App

  1. In a web browser, navigate to the add-in management page on Outlook and wait for it to completely load (a modal dialog will appear)
  2. In the add-in management modal search for “konnect email” and select the add-in Konnect eMail product
  3. Hit the “Add” button to begin deployment
  4. The deployment should only take a few seconds and you will be presented with getting started instructions from Microsoft

Note: This deployment is managed by Microsoft and it may take up to 24 hours for the add-in to start to appear in Outlook (reference doc).

Launch the App

The add-in might function differently depending on how you’re accessing it. You can access this add-in:

  • While Reading Emails: Launch the Outlook add-in while reading emails and take actions in the context of the email.
  • While Composing Emails: Launch the Outlook add-in while composing an email to add content from the add-in to the email and more

  1. Launch the Konnect eMail app from the Outlook ribbon menu.
    Note: If the app icon is disabled, ensure that you have an email selected and reading pane is visible
    • New Outlook, Outlook Web
      If you see the Konnect eMail icon, clicking it will launch the app.

      If not, then click the Apps icon above and select Konnect eMail from the list
    • Classic Outlook, Outlook for Mac
  2. On first use the app will require you to sign using your work credentials – select “Login” and sign-in using work credentials
  3. The app will prompt for access to connect to Microsoft 365 on users behalf (if this has not been granted by an admin already) – click Accept or contact your administrator

Remove the App

  1. In a web browser, navigate to the add-in management page on Outlook and wait for it to completely load (a modal dialog will appear)
  2. Select “My add-ins” tab and locate Konnect eMail add-in
  3. Click the ellipsis icon (three dots) and hit “Remove“
  4. The “Add” button will re-appear after un-install completes
